Pelvic Pain Matters is a dynamic education and advocacy platform dedicated to raising awareness around persistent pelvic pain in men. With a powerful blend of science, storytelling, and lived experience, the team behind Pelvic Pain Matters is working to transform how pelvic pain is understood, treated, and talked about.
The platform was co-founded by a multidisciplinary team: Tim Beames, Karl Monahan, Jo Taylor, and David Lowe—each bringing unique skills and experience to challenge stigma and empower people living with pain.
Why Pelvic Pain Matters
Pelvic pain in men is often invisible, misunderstood, and ignored. Conditions like prostatitis, hard flaccid syndrome, chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS), and related dysfunctions are all too common—but rarely talked about. Pelvic Pain Matters was created to change this silence into support.
